Track Daily Expense is a simple app to record your daily income and spending. Every entry is saved in your own Google Sheet, inside your own Google Drive — so you always own your data and can open it in Google Sheets anytime.
No. There is no separate account to sign up for and no password to remember. You simply sign in with your existing Google account, and the app creates a book (a Google Sheet) in your Drive to store your expenses.
On the Home screen, tap Cash In to record money received or Cash Out to record spending. Enter the amount, pick a category, person and payment method, choose the date, add an optional note, then tap Save. Your entry is written straight to your Google Sheet.
Yes. Tap any entry in the list to open and edit it, or use the delete option. The change is applied to your Google Sheet immediately.
Entirely in your own Google Sheets, inside your own Google Drive. We do not keep a copy of your expenses on our servers. There is no external database holding your financial data.
One data permission:
• Per-file Drive access (drive.file) — to create, open, read, and update only the books this app makes (and files you explicitly pick). This single scope covers both managing those files and reading and writing your expense data inside them.
Plus basic sign-in (name, email, profile), handled by Google. These are used solely to save and load your expenses in your own Drive.
The drive.file scope means we can only see files this app created or that you explicitly opened with it. We cannot read your other Drive files, documents, photos, emails or contacts. We never see your Google password — sign-in is handled entirely by Google.
No. Your expense data is never sold or shared. It moves only between your Google account and your own device so the app can display it to you.
Your data is protected by your own Google account's security. Because we never store your expenses or your password on our side, there is no central place for them to be leaked from. To keep you signed in on the web, the app stores only an encrypted token that lets it refresh access to your own Sheets — see our Privacy Policy for details.
The free version shows ads through Google AdMob to support development. Upgrading to Premium removes ads. Ads do not use your expense data — your financial records are never shared with advertisers.
Because your data and settings live in your Google Drive, signing in with the same Google account on another device shows the same expenses. Edits sync to the cloud a couple of seconds after you make them.
Each book is a separate expense ledger — for example one for personal spending and one for a business. Each book is a real Google Sheet in your Drive. Use the My Books selector to create or switch between them.
Use the filter pill (Today, This Week, This Month, This Year, All Time or a Custom range) to choose the period, and the ‹ › arrows to move to the previous or next period. Home, Reports and Search all follow the same filter.
Yes. Create a recurring template with an amount and frequency, and the app automatically generates the entries on schedule — across all your books, even ones that aren't currently open.
Yes, with Premium. You can attach a photo of a receipt to an expense; the image is stored in your own Google Drive alongside your data.
On the Android app (iOS coming soon) you can set a reminder on a specific expense and get a notification at the chosen time. Reminders rely on scheduled notifications, which web browsers can't deliver, so this is available on the mobile app.
Open the Reports section, choose the period you want with the time filter, and use Export PDF to generate a PDF summary of your income and expenses. You can then save or share it like any other file.
Reports include an overview, spending trends, a day book, and breakdowns by category, person and payment method — so you can see where your money goes at a glance.
Absolutely. Your data is a normal Google Sheet in your Drive — open it in Google Sheets to view, filter, chart or download it as Excel/CSV whenever you like.
Go to your Google Account → Security → "Your connections to third-party apps & services" (or visit myaccount.google.com/permissions), select Track Daily Expense, and choose Remove access. Your books stay safely in your Drive.
Since nothing is stored on our servers, deleting your data means deleting the app's books from your Google Drive. Once they're removed (and emptied from Drive trash), the data is gone.
Open Settings and tap Sign out. Your data remains untouched in your Google Drive and reappears the next time you sign in.
The app is free to use, supported by ads. Premium removes ads and unlocks receipt attachments. Your data is always yours either way.
The web app shows a loading screen while it starts up. If you still see a blank page, refresh once; if it persists, clear your browser cache for the site and reload.
Make sure both devices are signed in with the same Google account and are online. Sync happens a few seconds after each edit, so give it a moment, then refresh the other device.
Google's verification review is in progress. The app only accesses the books it creates in your Drive. You can continue by choosing Advanced → continue on that screen.
